Annette O'Toole was raised in Houston in Texas, at the dance studio of her mother. When she was just two, she first appeared in a television show as a young child on the Don Mahoney Kids Trooper Show. Her mother and she with ten years worth of singing and dancing lessons in her repertoire, travelled in Los Angeles a full year when she was 13 to see whether she could be capable of making a living in the showbiz. Her first gig as a professional dancer after only two months on Danny Kaye's show The Danny Kaye Show. She says "I am able to use my experience to sing and dance in a variety of ways." The discipline you get through this training is beneficial to actors." O'Toole's first role as a character in My Three Sons was followed by performances in Gunsmoke as well as The Mod Squad. She was also on Hawaii Five-O, The Mod Squad, The Partridge Family. O'Toole has appeared in more than forty television shows. In spite of her success on TV and in movies her passion lies in theater. Following her time in Smallville O'Toole made the decision to focus on theater which she'd been doing for the past decade. The first time she auditioned at New York led her to being cast in The Sea Gull. She has appeared in a variety of off-Broadway productions, such as Adam Rapp's Kindness as well as Tracy Letts' Man from Nebraska.
